Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 14, 2026
HiveSeller is a tool that reads, writes, and optimizes your Amazon advertising campaigns on your behalf. We see your Amazon Ads data, your billing info, and how you use the product. We do not sell that data, we do not share it with other sellers, and we do not use it to train AI models for outside customers. Authenticated AI optimization happens per-account and stays per-account.
1. Who we are
HiveSeller (“we,” “our,” “us”) operates the software-as-a-service platform at hiveseller.com that helps Amazon sellers manage and optimize their advertising campaigns through AI-assisted recommendations and execution. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, why, and what your rights are.
2. Information we collect
We collect three categories of data:
- Account information. Email address, password (stored as a salted hash, never in plaintext), name (optional), and any billing information you provide to our payment processor.
- Amazon Advertising data. When you connect your Amazon Ads account, we access campaigns, ad groups, keywords, search terms, bids, budgets, spend, sales, and performance reports through Amazon's official Advertising API under the permissions you authorize. We use this data to surface actions and execute changes you approve.
- Usage data. Pages you visit on HiveSeller, actions you take inside the product, approximate location (city-level, derived from IP), browser type, and error events. We use this to improve the product and diagnose bugs.
3. How we use your information
- To deliver the core product — reading, surfacing, and executing optimizations against your Amazon Ads account.
- To bill you for the service through our payment processor.
- To send transactional emails (password resets, daily action summaries, trial expiration notices, receipts).
- To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
- To improve our product and AI recommendations in aggregate — never by exposing one seller's data to another.
4. AI processing & subprocessors
HiveSeller uses third-party services (“subprocessors”) that may process your data on our behalf. We use commercially reasonable measures to ensure they meet appropriate privacy and security standards.
- Anthropic— for AI-generated recommendations and chat. Prompt content sent to Anthropic is governed by Anthropic's commercial terms and is not used to train their general-purpose models.
- Stripe — for payment processing. We never see or store your full card number.
- Resend — for transactional email delivery.
- Sentry — for error monitoring. We scrub sensitive fields (passwords, tokens, secrets) before any event reaches Sentry.
- Vercel — for hosting the marketing site and application frontend.
- Amazon Advertising API — under your authorization, to read and write campaigns.
5. How we share your information
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share one seller's data with another seller. We share information only with the subprocessors listed above, with authorities when required by law, or with your explicit consent.
6. Data retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete your personal information within 90 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g. tax records). Aggregated and de-identified analytics may be retained indefinitely.
7. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards: TLS in transit, AES-256 encryption at rest for sensitive fields (Amazon OAuth tokens), salted password hashing, scoped service-account keys, and role-based access controls for our team. No system is perfectly secure — if we ever discover a breach affecting your data, we will notify you in line with applicable law.
8. Your rights (GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA, and similar)
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate information.
- Delete your personal information (“right to be forgotten”).
- Object to or restrict processing.
- Receive your data in a portable format.
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information (we do not sell or share, but you may still submit this request).
- Withdraw consent at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@hiveseller.com. We will respond within 30 days.
9. Cookies & tracking
We use first-party cookies for authentication (keeping you logged in) and to remember your preferences. We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. We do not embed Facebook, Google, or other ad-platform pixels on our marketing site.
10. International transfers
HiveSeller is operated from the United States. If you access the product from outside the U.S., your data will be transferred to and processed in the U.S. by us and our subprocessors. By using HiveSeller, you consent to this transfer.
11. Children's privacy
HiveSeller is a business tool intended for Amazon sellers and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the product evolves. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email and update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of HiveSeller after a change constitutes acceptance.
